Jen Aniston, Jon Stewart Went "on a Date" in the '90s

During Jennifer Aniston's Thursday night appearance on The Daily Show, host Jon Stewart gushed about going out to dinner with the star in the mid-90s, when she first became a TV star on Friends.

"Of course I remember that," Aniston, now 41, said.
"You were adorable!" Stewart, 47, told the actress. "I asked you out, we went out! To an Italian restaurant" in Manhattan's East Village, he said. "And it was lovely"

He joked sheepishly: "You brought so many of your friends. I remember thinking 'Wow, she's so excited to be on a date with me that she wants me to get to know her posse.'"
Aniston's quip? "That's really sad," she said, explaining that the evening was a platonic group outing -- not a romantic tete-a-tete.

Stewart has been married to wife Tracey for ten years and has two kids: Nathan, 6, and Maggie, 4.

34D*amn you people still on about Aniston's break up with Pitt and blaming Jolie lol. You talk like you have personal knowledge of Pitt's relationship with Jolie and WHY they are together. Sounds like a bunch of clucking dumba*ss hens. It's sad to see people with no clue about anything giving their 'personal' insight to someone else's relationship. As for Aniston, she couldn't have had Jon Stewart in YOUR dreams. He's way too smart to have got involved with a psychiatrist obsessed( 22 years and counting) dingbat. Pitt had the misfortune to fall in love with that self-absorbed, high maintenance fruit loop. Oh, as for the high maintenance, that was Tate Donovan's take on their relationship. Remember him? He was the one who got away lol. H*ell who am I kidding, they ALL get away sooner or later. Seems he was more into women who actually did something besides hang out in luxury hotels and pamper themselves. Heck, even her fan pool is diminishing; they're getting sick of her.

ja - jennifer isn't shallow! jon is geared toward academics while jennifer herself has commented how her school was toward the arts and not academics. now jennifer is paying the price! i like jennifer and wish her the best. yes, jennifer makes mistakes but learns from them. however, i wish she would get a new agent and pr person. i saw the switch today and loved it

I don't think she's smart enough for him. His interests seem to be politics and current events, both here and in the rest of the world, and she cares about how she looks and apparently, little else. Deep and incredibly shallow aren't exactly a good match.

Aniston could have had John Stewart, a family man, married now for 10 years, with 2 children. However, she was stupid enough to trust Brad Pitt, a ladies man with a terrible track record with woman. He was always a love em' and leave em' Then, John Mayer, who dumped her twice. No wonder she's alone. It's HER not Angie.
I think Jen & Jon would've made quite an interesting couple back then! Also, that's interesting & nice to hear!
Jon Stewart is smart, hilarious, decent looking, and has his own show. He's a good catch for anyone. However, Maniston blew the date. She's alone and he has been married 10 years now, with 2 children. Brad made the right decision and Maniston did Jon Stewart a favor by showing him immediately how disrespectful she is.

shame on her for not issuing an apology immediately to soothe anyone she inadvertantly hurt. That would have shown class.
