(Fun fact: Sneakers were named such by Henry Nelson McKinney, an agent for an advertising firm N. W. Ayer & Son. The name refers to the sneakers' soft, noiseless rubber soles, Which allow the wearer to “sneak up” on unsuspecting friends and family!)
