“I’ve cried all day,” the Little Mix member, 35, wrote alongside a video of her daughters wearing spinal jackets shared via Instagram on Friday, July 10. “Imagine having to wear a spinal jacket and splints in this heat.”

Nelson continued, “I cannot even tell you how much this breaks my heart into a million pieces. But if I don’t put them in these every day, their spines and feet will only deteriorate and get worse.”

Nelson and ex fiancé Zion Foster welcomed Story and Ocean, 14 months, in May 2025 following a high-risk pregnancy. Earlier this year, Nelson revealed that the twins were diagnosed with a “severe muscle disease.”

“A few months ago, my mum noticed that the girls were not showing as much movement in their legs as they should be,” she said in a January Instagram Reel. “[It] wasn’t really a concern to me at the time because from the minute I left the NICU, I was told, ‘Your babies are premature, so do not compare your babies to other babies. They won’t reach the same milestones. Take them as they are.’”

After taking her little ones to the doctor, she was told that they were “healthy” and looking “fine.” However, Nelson noticed that her daughters’ did not appear to be improving.

“A few signs then started to show a bit later on that they were struggling to feed properly. It was getting gradually less and less and less,” she continued. “Long story short, after the most grueling three [or] four months and endless appointments, the girls have now been diagnosed with a severe muscle disease called SMA Type 1.”

SMA is an incurable genetic condition that causes worsening muscle weakness, according to the Cleveland Clinic. There are five subtypes of SMA and Type 1 is the most severe. Symptoms arise within the first six months of an infant’s life. Those who have SMA experience limited head control and decreased muscle tone (hypotonia) as well as difficulty swallowing and breathing. Children diagnosed SMA Type 1 are not expected to make it past their second birthday.

“When [the doctors] assessed the girls, we were told they’re probably never going to be able to walk,” Nelson tearfully said in the video. “They’ll probably never regain any strength, so they will be disabled. The best thing we can do right now is get them treatment and just hope for the best.”

One month after getting her twins’ diagnosis, Nelson opened up about her hopes that her children will beat the odds.

Nara shared in June that Whimsy was diagnosed with cancer “late last year” after being brought to a pediatrician to have “something suspicious” on her body examined.

“When we took her into our pediatrician, I just remember him going really quiet and calm … My heart dropped in that moment,” she said via Instagram at the time. “I don’t know whether it was my gut telling me something or just a mom’s intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer.”

Whimsy underwent “a lot of X-rays, ultrasounds and finally a biopsy.” Nara and Lucky were called “immediately” afterward and told that she has cancer.

“[They] told us it had spread and that she needs to come and start chemo treatments immediately,” Nara recalled.

Their little one was seen with a full head of dark hair while bundled up in a onesie.

Brown and Bongiovi, who tied the knot in 2024, welcomed their child via adoption the following year.

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” Brown and Bongiovi wrote in a joint Instagram statement in August 2025. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”

Brown has been candid about going through the adoption process, sharing that some parts were tougher than others.

It’s like, I can always deal with the, ‘Oh, my God, you showed your nipples? In a Sunday, July 5, video shared via Instagram, Aldjufrie, 37, held up a positive pregnancy test as she sat beside Richards, 57, and FaceTimed her sisters. (Richards shares Farrah with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie, whom she was married to from 1988 to 1992. Richards is also the mom of daughters Alexia, 30, Sophia, 26, and Portia, 18, with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky.)

The camera then panned to show Alexia and Portia’s reaction, revealing both sisters’ shock as their jaws dropped on the screen. Richards then proceeded to reveal how she learned of her daughter’s pregnancy, sharing that she picked up a phone call from Farrah.

While Ventimiglia had high expectations for himself as a dad, he admitted to modifying his standards a bit after an overwhelming year that included losing his home to the January 2025 California wildfires just weeks before Ke’ala was born.

Ventimiglia also acknowledged his fears about becoming a father of two.

“You saw me hard swallow, right? I hard-swallowed,” he said. “Now I know it’s coming. But at a certain point, don’t they start to entertain each other?”

“I’ve suffered one miscarriage,” Dreyer, 44, said during the Thursday, July 2, episode of the “Parent Chat” podcast. “And I remember we were [on] a group vacation, so there’s just a lot of people around and everybody’s happy, everybody’s on vacation, and I was hiding the fact that I was pregnant. So I’m like, pretending to drink but not really drinking. And that night is kind of when the miscarriage happened.”

Dreyer shared that despite being surrounded by others, she felt isolated when she experienced the miscarriage.

“I remember also hiding the fact that I was, in addition to hiding the fact that I was pregnant, dealing with this miscarriage,” she said. “I’m, like, crying in my bed in so much pain — because no one really tells you how painful, like, physically painful it is — and I’m like, ‘Man, I just wish I could share this with someone.’ And you can’t always do that.”
