On Friday, July 3, the “Girls Chase Boys” singer, 46, shared a throwback video from one of Swift’s signature July 4th weekend parties, where she played with one of Swift’s cats.

It’s not entirely clear whether the kitty in question is Olivia Benson or Meredith Grey — as both have white paws — but one of them was determined to swipe a patch of red fabric from Michaelson in the clip.

“One July 3rd many years ago I was playing with Taylor Swift’s cat,” Michaelson wrote over the adorable video.

She added, “Happy wedding day to t&t.”

Michaelson did not clarify when the footage was shot but she was one of numerous celebrity guests to attend a July 4 weekend party at Swift’s “Holiday House” mansion in Rhode Island in 2014. (Lena Dunham, Jaime King, Emma Stone and Jessica Szohr were all reportedly in attendance that year as well.)

The two artists have performed together on stage multiple times throughout their careers. In a 2025 TikTok video, Michaelson recalled a fairly awkward run-in with Swift, 36, at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards.

“I was on the red carpet, like feeling myself … Then all of the sudden, it was like they were ushering me off [the carpet]…and I realized that Taylor Swift was coming. I look to my right, and there she is,” she remembered.

Michaelson decided to approach Swift in the middle of a media frenzy, rationalizing to herself that they’d “hung out a couple of times.”

“So I went between the panels, literally running after this woman,” she said. “And I go, ‘Taylor! Taylor!’ and of course she doesn’t turn around, because why would she turn around hearing a random woman screaming her name.”

The musician described later feeling “so pathetic” that she finally shouted, “Taylor, it’s Ingrid,” to get her attention.

“She did turn around and remembered me,” Michaelson happily reported. “We took a picture.”

Swift and Kelce, 36, are expected to tie the knot at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Friday. Their wedding was described to Us Weekly by a source as a “whimsical” ceremony inspired by the fairytales that have influenced Swift throughout her career.

In the midst of the chaos, Van Ness “started screaming, crying [and] howling” for Peacock to help them get Liza to safety. The couple eventually rushed the cat to a local vet to perform emergency surgery.

“I knew instantly that if she made it, we weren’t gonna be able to keep George and thank God for the people at the animal hospital, they performed a literal miracle on her,” he recalled. “I didn’t think she was gonna make it, and I thought I was gonna cancel my shows.”

Once Liza was out of the woods, Van Ness and Peacock chose to have George immediately removed from their home.

“[George has] been with us for four years, all the animals got along so well for the most part and this just came completely out of the blue. It’s been so gut-wrenching,” they said.

Van Ness confirmed that they quickly found George a new foster home where he could receive individual care without other pets around.

“Our theory on George is that he is not a three dogs, five cats sort of dog and he just needs to be the only dog in the house,” they suggested.

However, many sympathized with Van Ness and Peacock’s decision to prioritize the safety of their cat after such a severe injury.

“As a vet tech, I think you made the best decision for everyone involved,” one person noted. “While I understand the people on the dog’s side, it was a choice that needed to be made and it would be cruel to punish the cat, when they are the one suffering for the dog’s actions.”

Another Instagram user added, “This is so heartbreaking and of course such a tough situation to be in. Ignore the people saying you shouldn’t have rehomed the dog, some dog people are genuinely crazy. Liza almost died and that’s such a serious angry thing. It sounds like you’ve done the most rational, if not difficult thing. A lot of people wouldn’t do that.”

“We had been looking at rescue [dogs] and Adriane Schwartz found a puppy at Big Love Animal Rescue [through her friend Laura Labelle, the founder of Labelle Foundation], in California,” Stephanie exclusively tells Us Weekly, introducing white, fluffy Theo to the world. “They don’t normally send dogs across the country, but she offered to bring him as a wedding gift.”

The pair, who got engaged in November 2024 following Jon’s 2009 split from Kate Gosselin, were planning on having their 16-year-old dog Toby (“The woo was my little fur brother,” Stephanie says) walk her down the wedding aisle. Lisa Arturo, founder of Big Love Animal Rescue, tells us that Theo — or Theodore — along with his sister, Eloise, and their mom, Maddie, were “abandoned and left at a shelter by someone who no longer wanted them.”

“When we learned about their situation, we knew we had to step in and save them,” Arturo explains. “We rescue dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages, but we have a particularly soft spot for pregnant moms and newborn puppies. We believe it’s incredibly important to get terrified pregnant dogs out of crowded shelters and into loving foster homes where they can safely give birth. When Theodore was ready to go to his forever home, we spoke to Stephanie and Jon and felt they were a perfect home for a puppy.”

Jon tells us that Theo — who he describes as “fun-loving” and “cute” — has “lifted not only our energy and happiness” but the pairs’ friends and family members’ energy and happiness, too.

“I’ll always choose rescue over a breeder, and Big Love Animal Rescue has been so incredible helping us organize the pick up and paperwork,” Stephanie adds. “And he is such a loving dog, I know his foster was amazing.”

She continues, “Every animal deserves a loving home, but rescuing just feels more meaningful. Jon and I have always been the type to say, ‘Let’s just do it,’ no matter what we’re jumping into, and we always follow through and do it well together.”

“I have a very special dream date planned. I’m here at the Eastwood Ranch right now as you can see,” the Odyssey actor, 55, said in an Instagram video on Friday, June 5, while holding a puppy in his arms. “And I’m here with JoJo. Founder Alison Eastwood shared that Betsy is a pitbull who was rescued from a shelter in Los Angeles and has been at the ranch for “a year and a half.” The nonprofit founder explained that pitbulls typically have a harder time getting adopted compared to other breeds due to preconceived notions. However, Eastwood shared that Betsy is “great with people” and children but tends to be shy around other dogs.

Damon approached Betsy with a bouquet plushie and asked, “Can I interest you in the flowers, Betsy?”

He also gave Betsy a red bandana so she looked spiffy for their date.

“I’m gonna show you off for a little bit,” Damon gushed.

After getting Betsy all dolled up, Damon sat down with the dog to give her some pets and snuggles.

“I’m told she’s really cuddly,” he said while petting her, which made her happy. “That smile, I love that smile dogs get when they’re happy and they’re just content.”

As part of the date, Damon put together a basket of toys for Betsy to play with.

“Whatever toys she doesn’t destroy are going in the bag along with the toys we already have in here to go home with Betsy with whoever comes to rescue her and adopt her,” he said.

Damon also explained that Betsy was his first date in a long time. The actor has been married to Luciana Damon since 2005. The couple share daughters Alexia, Isabella, Gia and Stella.

“So Betsy was my date today. For one reason, it’s the first date my wife has allowed me to go on in 23 years. California is celebrating Adopt-a-Pet Day on Saturday, June 6. The state-wide initiative, which is also backed by the ASPCA, encourages citizens to adopt an animal from a shelter or rescue to help save those at risk of euthanasia. At participating California shelters, adoption fees will be waived.

The Kardashians star, 41, revealed on the Wednesday, May 20, episode of her “Khloé In Wonder Land” podcast that she had her pets declawed, a practice that involves the “surgical amputation of all or part of a cat’s third phalanges (toe bones) and the attached claws” and is “strongly discouraged,” according to the American Veterinary Medical Association.

The AVMA says that “scratching is a normal behavior of cats that conditions the claws, serves as a visual and scent territorial marker, allows for self-defense, and provides healthy muscle engagement through stretching. The amputation or other surgical alteration of the distal digits is an acutely painful procedure and may result in chronic pain, maladaptive behavior, disability, and significant mutilation.”

Several states in the U.S. have banned the declawing of cats except for medical reasons. California joined the growing list in January after new legislation was passed last October.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador is sharing her heartbreak as she revealed her dog Archie has died.

Shannon  gave the somber update on her beloved pet via Instagram on Thursday, March 14 — nine days after the reality TV star revealed Archie had been diagnosed with brain cancer.

“Heaven has a new special angel.  Archie passed away yesterday and the girls and I are heartbroken. For the last 10 years, Archie wasn’t just my dog — he was my constant comfort, protector, best friend and truly the real “man” in my life,” she wrote.

Shannon continued: “I have been through so many highs and lows, and through every good time and every heartache, Archie was always by my side and loved me the same way every single day.  Never judging me and always giving pure, loyal, and unconditional love.”

In the lengthy caption, Beador thanked her followers for their well wishes and added, “There is such a void in our household right now.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador is sharing a somber update on her beloved pet, dog Archie.

“I know my posts about my dogs are usually fun and silly, but today I wanted to share something more serious,” Beador, 62, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, May 5. “After experiencing multiple seizures, Archie has been diagnosed with brain cancer.”

She continued, “Our heart aches for our sweet Archie. He means the world to the girls and I.  We are going to do everything we can to help him fight this.”

Shannon, who shares three daughters with ex-husband David Beador, has started looking into treatment protocols for her pooch.

“Archie has seen a neurologist and oncologist and it has been recommended that he start radiation soon,” Beador explained. “If anyone has experience with this or advice to share, it would truly mean so much to the girls and I. Please don’t hesitate to DM and reach out. Thank you for loving Archie as much as we do 🤍.”

Archie was previously injured in 2024 after being bitten by another canine.

“Archie was bit by another dog when we went on a walk today,” Shannon wrote in a June 2024 social media post. “The dog was enclosed in his front patio, but started to bark and stuck his face out to bite Archie through the slats in the fence. … The owner said that maybe I walked too close to his fence 😡. Archie has never been in a dog fight in all of his 8 years!!”

Nearly two months after Archie recovered, Shannon worried fans about the pup’s condition when she stated in another social media upload that he was “in heaven.”

“I said he was ‘in heaven’ because there were so many little dogs around him,” the Bravolebrity explained in August 2024, referring to a previous post about Archie on a puppy play date. “Little dogs are his favorite. Archie is great!!!”

Missy’s owner, Heath Hrappstead, later shared the full story of how Missy escaped.

“The way it all started was, I went to work in the morning, and usually she gets ready with me and we take off on the bike. I ride the bike there, and then I come back and go to work,” Hrappstead told CBC.

“But that day, she ended up staying at home. I could tell from the whimper she was very upset with me that I decided to leave without her.”

His partner left Missy in the yard when she went to run errands. That’s when Missy made her move.

“She ended up getting a call [from Spot’s Place] because Missy had dug her way out under the back gate and ran and took herself to daycare,” Hrappstead said.

“It sounded like she just followed the route that we normally take in the morning with the bicycle.”

Missy usually attends Spot’s Place Monday through Friday. Since she and Hrappstead bike there every day, she knows the route well. This wasn’t her first jailbreak, either.

“This is the second time she got out. It was the same kind of deal, but she didn’t dig her way out [last time]. She just managed to get through the gate. So I’ve got to do a little more reinforcing.”

Spot’s Place staffer Mackenzie Hoffman described the scene.

“She was full of mud, obviously, because she had a little escape journey,” Hoffman said.

Missy seemed thrilled to spend time with her pal Shaggy, another dog at the daycare that she has gotten close to.

“So we’re like, ‘Perfect, she gets to see Shaggy.’ We’re like, ‘They probably want to see each other. She came all the way to see Shaggy,’” Hoffman noted.

“They kind of hit it off right off the bat,” Hoffman added of Missy and Shaggy’s bond. “They do have other friends here, but they definitely gravitate to each other the most.”

Missy has been coming to Spot’s Place for about four years.

“She used to come twice a week when she had a brother and then he passed on. So then they started bringing her every day to help with her grieving process,” staff said.

Hrappstead described what drop-off usually looks like.

“When I drop her off in the morning, they’re really good with her,” Hrappstead said. “She just shows up with her tail wagging … we call it butt-wagging because she’s wagging, but her butt’s moving too, and she’s so excited.”

Missy made it back home safely after her solo trip. She was scheduled for daycare the next day.

The pups mark the second litter for Buttercup, who also delivered two pups in October. The father of both litters is Goomba, the resident male capybara at the southern New Jersey zoo.

The births bring even more activity to an already bustling capybara habitat at the zoo.

Those hoping to catch a glimpse of the pups can look for them periodically from the bridge at the capybara habitat.

Good and Majors, 36, have been together since 2023. They announced their engagement in November 2024 before tying the knot the following year.

“I’m just really happy,” Good exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2025. “He’s very silly. He always falls asleep in the middle of movies. I love doing adventures with him. If I’m like, ‘Let’s just go try this. Let’s go do that.’ He’s like, ‘All right, let’s go.’ We’re just both in it, like, two little kids who can’t believe we’re allowed to do what we want to do.”

After Ben’s death, Herbstreit chose Peter as his new game-day companion. Peter joined Herbstreit for his first event in December 2024.

Vonn, 41, adopted the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in August 2025 while still recovering from the loss of her dog, Lucy. Her other dog Leo died the same day Vonn crashed at the Olympics and had to be airlifted to a local hospital.

“This has been an incredibly hard few days. Probably the hardest of my life,” Vonn, 41, shared via Instagram on February 18, 10 days after the crash. “I still have not come to terms that he is gone …The day I crashed, so did Leo. He had been recently diagnosed with lung cancer (he survived lymphoma a year and a half ago) but now his heart was failing him. He was in pain and his body could no longer keep up with his strong mind.”

He layed by me, and [cuddled] me, always making me feel safe and loved. We have been through so much together in 13 years.”

Five days after announcing Leo’s death, Vonn revealed that her injuries were even more serious than the public knew. In addition to the torn ACL that she sustained prior to the Olympics, the crash resulted in a complex tibia fracture, fractured fibular head, fractured tibial plateau and a broken ankle. Her injuries led to compartment syndrome, which she said almost led to a leg amputation.

As her recovery continues, Vonn has said she is not ready to discuss if and when she will return to skiing.

It was incredible to be #1 in the world again at 41 years old and set new records in my sport, but at my age, I’m the only one that will decide my future. I don’t need anyone’s permission to do what makes me happy. Maybe that means racing again, maybe that doesn’t. Only time will tell. Please stop telling me what I should or should not do. I’ll let you know when I decide.”

“It is with deep sadness that I said goodbye to Pumpkin yesterday,” the Desperate Housewives alum, 61, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, March 15. “Six years ago when I went looking to adopt a dog, I wanted a senior (because I knew most people would be looking for puppies). So I knew this day would eventually come faster than I’d want it to.”

Hatcher’s post included a series of photos of Pumpkin over the years, including outings to the beach and quality time with additional members of the Hatcher household.

While Hatcher is heartbroken over Pumpkin’s passing, she shared that her pup “had the chance to touch so many hearts and comfort so many souls” in his life.

Hatcher added that even when Pumpkin wasn’t feeling his best, he was always a good boy in her eyes.

“I knew you always tried to be the best dog even when it was hard for your body… and Pumpkin, you were the best dog. I’m gutted,” she penned. “I did, and would have done, anything and everything to make you well. I’m so sorry there weren’t answers. Sometimes it’s just like that.”

Hatcher wished Pumpkin “love and light” in his “onward” journey and gave him one last bit of praise.

“Bless you, sweet Pumpkin. You truly were the best dog,” she concluded.

Newkirk demanded that Kardashian “call PETA or a local shelter the next time” she was looking for a pet.

“[She can] try to make some amends now by sending [her] kids to volunteer at a local shelter or paying for a local shelter adopt-a-thon,” Newark demanded.

Kardashian never directly responded to criticism from PETA.

In the meantime, Kardashian has been spotted on numerous outings with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton in the past few months. Us Weekly exclusively reported in February that Kardashian and Hamilton, 41, had “a few dates recently” but were keeping things “casual.”

“I know he’s up there with Lucy and Bear and my mom and grandparents and so many people I have lost in the past few years,” she wrote. “And I [take] solace knowing he’s not in pain anymore.”

She continued, “I have been reading a lot of messages and comments saying that what has happened to me makes them sad,” Vonn continued. “Please, don’t be sad. Empathy, love and support I welcome with an open heart, but please not sadness and sympathy. I hope instead it gives you strength to keep fighting, because that is what I am doing and that is what I will continue to do. Always.”

“Anyone that knows me knew Darla. She went everywhere with me. Traveled the world. Was there for me every single step of the way,” Hudgens, 37, captioned a tribute via Instagram on Tuesday, February 10. “She was the smartest little lady I’ve ever known. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog. I am beyond heart broken today. Putting her down was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but her little body was failing her and it was her time.”

The caption concluded, “I already miss the pitter patter of her little paws in the house. If you have your own fur baby squeeze them extra for me. Rest in peace my sweet girl.”

Hudgen’s touching post included photos of her with Darla throughout her life, from pool days to playing dress up. In the final picture, Hudgens comforted Darla while she was hooked up to an IV and had a mask around her snout.

After posting the tribute, Hudgens received support from High School Musical costar Bart Johnson, who commented, “Ooooooh man that’s so hard. RIP Darla. Sorry for losing your ole friend 💔💔.”

Another follower wrote, “Vanessa ……. Baby I’m so sorry . Anyone that has watched you grow, evolve and become the woman you are knows how much Darla meant to you . Please take your time healing . Sending you so much love ❤️.”

“Oh I am just so so sorry Vanessa. When I think of you, I think of sweet Darla too. What a lucky pup she was to have you by her side every step of the way. I love you so much. ❤️,” actor Max Clayton said.

In a second post on Tuesday, Hudgens shared photos from her wedding to Cole Tucker in which Darla attended. One of Hudgens’ bridesmaids held Darla’s leash, as the pup sported a silk dress with flowers around her collar while her parents exchanged vows.

“Darla didn’t like men. I think she was abused by one when she was a wittle ting before I met her but the moment she met my husband she was in love,” Hudgens captioned the post. “Cuddled up on him and trusted him immediately. I knew from that point that point he was my guy. She walked down the aisle in our wedding and watched our vows intently. She was so proud. I’ll never forget it. Wanted to share ❤️.”

The second post also generated condolences and touching messages from her followers.

“The fact that I’m thinking she went to heavens it’s because she waited this long so she knew you would be with someone who would be protecting you. She knew she couldn’t leave until that someone was there for you. Aww ❤️,” one person wrote, while a second person said, “Im so sorry Vanessa, this must be a hard day for you. Its so beautiful to see all the moments you shared with her, she will always be your guardian angel.”

Hudgens and Tucker, 29, wed in Tulum, Mexico, in December 2023. The Princess Switch actress and the former MLB player welcomed their first child together in November 2024. Hudgens announced she was pregnant with their second child in July 2025.
