BIO
Aubrey O'Day was born on Feb. 11, 1984 in San Francisco, Calif. As a child, she performed in a number of regional theater productions and gathered awards for her acting and singing.
In 2005, Sean "Diddy" Combs chose O'Day for a spot on Making the Band 3. Diddy assembled the group, later known as Danity Kane, around O’Day with four other members (Aundrea Fimbres, Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex and D. Woods). Nearly four years later, the hip-hop mogul kicked O'day and D. Woods out of the group.
O'Day made her Broadway debut in 2008 in Hairspray as Amber Von Tussle.
Charity work became a passion for O'Day after participating in a Semester at Sea. She worked with many service organizations, but grew closest to children suffering from AIDS. She even created her own group, Fight AIDS Now (FAN), to fight for children infected with the disease.
In March 2011, Oxygen began airing a new reality series, All About Aubrey, based on the singer's return to the spotlight.
