Musician Camila Cabello was born in Cuba, but relocated to Miami, Florida, when she was 5 years old. The singer gained fame in 2012 after competing on The X Factor as one fifth of the girl group Fifth Harmony.
Cabello sang alongside Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui and Dinah Jane for four years before announcing in December 2016 that she was leaving the group to pursue a solo career. She dropped her first record, Camila, in January 2018. One year later, she released her second studio album, Romance. Since her exit from Fifth Harmony, Cabello has collaborated with Machine Gun Kelly, Young Thug, DaBaby, Shawn Mendes and more.
The Latin Grammy Award winner made her movie debut as the titular character in Amazon Prime’s Cinderella, released in September 2021.
Us Weekly confirmed in June 2019 that the “Havana” singer split from dating coach Matthew Hussey after one year together. The following month, Cabello began dating longtime friend Mendes. The pair quarantined together amid the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020 and bought a puppy together in November of that year.
The couple split in November 2021. Mendes and Cabello shared a joint statement via Instagram to break the news and stated that they “will continue to be best friends.”
Cabello moved on with Lox Club founder Austin Kevitch before ultimately going their separate ways in February 2023. The “Bam Bam” songstress and Mendes sparked reconciliation rumors the following April after they were spotted making out at Coachella.
